"Exponential Tangential Randomness"
Go see Prometheus. Drop whatever you’re doing and see it this weekend. It doesn’t even matter if it’s bad or good, it’s Science-Fiction! We need more SciFi. It’s our future. It makes us dream and ask the big questions of life and it has a natural home on the big screen.
People watch these films and ponder these great mysteries of life not realizing that most *real* SciFi isn’t that unrealistic as to what we may ultimately see in our futures. We need more SciFi on the Big Screen. More stories need to get told so more people can dream about the future! Since Hollywood is filled with copycats, if we go and see this in ridiculous numbers they will make more and more of these movies (see: Lord of the Rings/Harry Potter/All the Fantasy clones we have now).
That would make me very happy.
